Strategically positioned at 30.3658° N, 88.5561° W, it serves as a deep-draft seaport accommodating container terminals, bulk cargo, and automotive imports, particularly from Japan and Germany via James River and Ogdachary routes. As a deepwater facility with a 45-foot channel, it supports high-clearance vessels and boasts one of the longest continuous container terminals on the U.S. Gulf Coast. Operated by APL Terminals, it integrates with Mobile Bay port networks, enhancing intermodal connectivity and regional trade efficiency.
