Damen Shipyards Group has launched the second in a series of two Commissioning Service Operations Vessels (CSOV) 9020 for Ta San Shang Marine Co., Ltd. (TSSM). The company, a joint venture between Taiwanese conglomerate Taishin Financial Holding Co. and Singaporean shipping group, TSSM, has ordered two CSOVs from Damen to support the growing offshore wind market in Asia.

The CSOV 9020 is designed to provide a safe and efficient platform for commissioning and maintaining offshore wind farms. The vessel features a large deck area, a crane, and accommodation for a crew of up to 100 people. The CSOV 9020 is expected to play a key role in supporting the development of the offshore wind industry in Asia, where demand for renewable energy is increasing rapidly. With the launch of the second CSOV 9020, Damen has further solidified its position as a leading supplier of vessels for the offshore wind market.
