Able Seaman (AB) Position

Amentum is seeking an Able Seaman for a position on Kauai, HI.

The Able Seaman (AB) is a Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) crew position aboard assigned US NAVY Range Support Craft for the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) at Barking Sands, HI.

The AB is a junior member of the deck department and performs a variety of tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

Assists the Bosun and other deck personnel with deck maintenance, repairs, and operations.

Performs tasks such as standing watch, handling lines, and operating deck equipment.

Assists with cargo operations, including loading and unloading cargo.

Participates in vessel inspections and maintenance activities.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Master or Bosun.

Requirements:

Must hold a valid Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with Able Seaman endorsement.

Must have completed STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping) and Basic Safety Training (BST).

Must have completed Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (SCRB) training.

Must have completed Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF) training.

Must have completed Medical Care on Board Ship (MCS) training.

Must have completed Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (PSSR) training.

Must have completed Security Awareness Training (SAT).

Must have completed Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) training.

Must have completed Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) training.

Must have completed Basic Emergency Procedures (BEP) training.
