Job Title: Merchant Mariner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Merchant Mariner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in maritime operations, including experience with tug and tow operations.

Responsibilities:

• Must apply for Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with USCG Ordinary Seaman endorsement


• Experience operating or supporting tug and tow operations


• Prior experience supporting equipment operation, or vessel repair activities


• Other duties as assigned by the Master or Chief Engineer

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with USCG Ordinary Seaman endorsement


• Must have prior experience operating or supporting tug and tow operations


• Must have prior experience supporting equipment operation, or vessel repair activities


• Must be able to pass a background screening and drug testing

Preferred Qualifications:

• STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) certification


• Experience working on vessels of various types, including but not limited to, tugs, towboats, and barges


• Knowledge of vessel safety procedures and emergency response protocols

Physical Requirements:

• Must be physically fit and able to perform duties in a fast-paced, dynamic environment


• Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces


• Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work on vessels in a variety of weather conditions


• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities


• Must be able to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
