Permanent, 37 hours per week
Lecturer Salary Scale: Spine Points 25 to 33
Salary: £33,496 to £43,471 per annum
Plus, an additional recruitment and retention premia is available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and assess students on a range of marine engineering and electrical subjects to degree and certification levels.
- Develop and deliver high-quality teaching materials and resources.
- Contribute to the development of the curriculum and assessment strategies.
- Supervise and support students in their academic and professional development.
- Contribute to the development of the department and the school.
Requirements:
- A relevant degree in a marine engineering or electrical subject, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualifications or experience in teaching and learning.
- Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g. IMarEST, IET).
- Experience of teaching and assessing students to degree and certification levels.
- Knowledge of current developments in marine engineering and electrical subjects.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to students and staff.
Working Conditions:
- 864 teaching hours per annum.
- 48 days' annual leave per year, inclusive of bank holidays.
