Strick Line
🏢 Corporate Intelligence
Strick Line, a British shipping company, operated a diverse fleet in the Persian Gulf region and Mediterranean Sea, with a historical focus on tramp trading. Established by Frank Clarke Strick, the company initially capitalized through the Anglo-Algerian Steamship Company Limited, leveraging a small steamer to facilitate growth. By the early 1900s, Strick Line had expanded to a fleet of 15 vessels, specializing in coal and iron ore transport, notably between Great Britain, Italy, and North Africa. Strategic partnerships, such as with the Bucknall Steamship Line from 1903, enabled the company to support oil prospecting and equipment transport. Acquired by P&O↗ in 1923, Strick Line's legacy reflects its significant contributions to early 20th-century maritime trade. For more information, visit Wikipedia↗. References: Wikipedia↗
