Sloman Neptun Schiffahrts-Aktiengesellschaft

Sloman Neptun Schiffahrts‑Aktiengesellschaft, founded in 1873 and headquartered in Bremen, was a German container liner that operated a feeder fleet under the Neptun brand before merging into Hapag‑Lloyd in 2008. At its height the company ran about 20 vessels with a combined capacity of roughly 95,000 TEU, mainly 1,200‑ to 2,500‑TEU boxships built to ISO standards and fitted with IMO 2020‑compliant scrubbers. Subsidiary Neptun Line GmbH managed short‑sea routes linking North Sea, Baltic and Mediterranean ports, while the technical division handled crewing, maintenance and vessel management.
