Merchant Fleet of Donbass

Merchant Fleet of Donbass (MFD), established in 1924 and headquartered in Mariupul, is Ukraine’s historic carrier operating a diversified fleet of more than 25 vessels, including dry‑bulk carriers, product tankers and container ships that collectively exceed 200,000 deadweight tonnes. Its container fleet encompasses vessels of 1,500‑2,000 TEU capacity, supporting regional export routes across the Black Sea, Mediterranean and Northern Europe. MFD’s subsidiary, Donbass Shipping Company, manages ship chartering, vessel maintenance and crew training, while its logistics arm coordinates cargo handling at Ukrainian ports.
