Johnson Line

Johnson Line, a Swedish shipping company founded in 1904, operates as a subsidiary of Rederi AB Nordstjernan. With its headquarters in Stockholm, the company has a rich history in maritime operations. In 1982, Johnson Line expanded its fleet and capabilities through the absorption of Rederi AB Svea, another Nordstjernan-owned entity, enabling its participation in the Finnish-Swedish Silja Line consortium. Johnson Line's operations ultimately merged with fellow Silja Line member Effoa in 1990 to form EffJohn, marking the end of its existence as an independent entity.
