Following Genting Hong Kong's liquidation in October 2022, the brand underwent strategic acquisition. Now owned by Malaysian company StarDream Cruises, Dream Cruises is poised for a significant operational reformation on February 26, 2025, splitting from StarCruises to relaunch independently. This restructure will see the illustrious *Genting Dream* vessel become the foundational ship of the reformed Dream Cruises fleet, solidifying its renewed presence in the Asian luxury cruise market under its current ownership.
