The low water levels, which reached their lowest point over the weekend since 1996, have prompted irrigation restrictions for farmers, impacting their ability to cultivate crops and maintain their livelihoods. Additionally, shipping activities have been partially disrupted, affecting the transportation of goods and commodities along the river.
