Damen Shipyards Group has launched the second in a series of two Commissioning Service Operations Vessels (CSOV) 9020 for Ta San Shang Marine Co., Ltd. (TSSM). The company, a joint venture between Taiwan's Ta Tong Marine and Japan's Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, has ordered the vessels to support the growing offshore wind market in Taiwan.
The CSOV 9020 is a purpose-built vessel designed to provide commissioning and maintenance services for offshore wind farms. With a length of 99 meters and a beam of 19 meters, the vessel features a large deck area and a high deck load capacity, making it ideal for handling heavy equipment and personnel. The vessel is also equipped with a dynamic positioning system, allowing it to maintain its position in rough seas.
